Bigil Movie Review
Bigil Movie Official Poster |
Director Atlee Kumar & Thalapathy Vijay Joined together for third time in this Deepavali. Actor vijay was portrayed in three different characters - Bigil, Rayappan & Michael. Each character has it's unique way and body language. As every vijay movie this intro song has a special tag #Verithanam & the whole song was in a Night mode with red lights sparkles on screen. The first half of movie looks a slow screenplay writing by the director. During flashback Bigil Vijay was young & charming winning a tough football match for his state. During every football matches in the movie as a audience we can't get the feel in the Game. Everything in the stadium looks much artificial like an FIFA match. Since it was an sports based film, director should have to concentrate more on the football areas. If the play was explained in an much detailed manner it will be connected with audience in theatre much better. Rayappan character outfit didn't have any kind of explanation in the movie. Some scenes of Rayappan gives us the glimpse feel of Bashaa and Nayakan movies. This point might hurt vijay fan's, but believe me i heard a huge laugh sound after Rayappan character died. From my point director Atlee doesn't stuffed the enough new content inside the film. The director should have to work more for depth screenplay details and might have to stop believing that his previous movies are blockbusters because of his Grey shirt (as said in Bigil audio launch). After some point it got irritated that, why glycerin bottles was provided to many characters in the movie. So many crying scenes which makes us feel in a bad mood. In Singapenney song Music Director AR Rahman and Atlee will have a screen presence shot, which gives us a feel 'Ethukuuuu'. Movie doesn't speaks about Feminism, it just triggers our feelings emotionally with some good dialogues. Since it was a sports movie I'm comparing it with the bollywood film 'Dangal' during the climax match we can able to feel the pressure of Actor Amir Khan in Dangal but here none. I think this is the point that Atlee should stop playing only with emotion's and give us a gripping screenplay with powerful dialogues which gives audience a automatically generated emotions. Now a days audience are clever, that director should not have to give a recall for every message you conveyed in movie, like that coke scene. A reminder to hero that he needs to be awake by tapping himself in his head. At the end of the movie as a audience we should feel the final Victory excitement by the Women's football team, but we didn't any kind of connect with that winning match. But I'm very sure that this film will emote the girls both physically and mentally to step out & follow their passion. They can do what they like, every women has their own dreams and lives. This will sure increase the interest of Women's towards sports throughout the nation.
